The History of Our Nation

The history of our nation is one of continual movement of minorities
from poor urban areas to, economically and socially, higher echelons.
Much of this movement has come as a result of the leadership
demonstrated by wealthy or successful business people and professionals
who have worked together to build their communities and aid others in
their fight for upward mobility.

Partners for Potential intends to educate, mentor and train inner city
youth to become successful business people and professionals who will
stay and participate in their Northeastern Ohio communities, to insure
that the next generation becomes a vibrant one, full of opportunity and
promise. We intend to build leaders who will, as so many have before,
bring opportunity and prosperity to our inner cities.

Our intention is to give kids who graduate from University School and
Hathaway Brown summer enrichment programs for urban youth, whatever help they need to prepare them for college and professional life and to
mentor them toward their responsibilities to their communities when they
become successful adults. Whether it is tutoring, tuition, testing
assistance or coaching, moneys will be provided to assist these kids in
obtaining the best possible high school education. At the same time,
through mentors, internships, shadowing and job placement, they will
learn how to succeed in life
